Question:
I’ve added songs to my Mix Stick 2.0 and when I press play I get no audio. How can I fix this?

Answer:
FOR WINDOWS XP USERS:
(if you have Windows Vista, please click here for instructions)

Please follow the instructions below to format your player.

NOTE: Formatting the memory will erase all files on the player.

Formatting the Disney Mix Stick 2.0:

Connect the Disney Mix Stick 2.0 to your computer and close Windows Media Player.

Double-click on your 'My Computer' or 'Computer' icon.

Right-click the newly added 'Removable Disk' and left-click on 'Format'.

At the Format window, select 'FAT32' from the file system pull-down menu, then click 'Start' to format the unit.

Click 'OK' to confirm and the player will start to format.
When finished, click 'Close' to close the Format window.
Unplug the Mix Stick 2.0 from your computer and wait for the light on the Mix Stick 2.0 to turn green.
Once the Mix Stick 2.0 light has turned green plug the player back into your computer.  The light may not turn green and shut off right away, in that case, still plug the player back into your computer.

Open Windows Media Player and click on the 'Sync' tab, if a 'Set Up' window pops up, click finish or name the device.

Right-click (right mouse button) on the 'Sync' tab in Windows Media Player and select either 'Tools > Options...' (for Windows Media Player 10) or 'More Options...' (Windows Media Player 11).

Click on the 'Devices' tab within the 'Options' window.

Select the MP3 player from the list, double-click on 'MIX STICK V2' or the name you used for the device and this will open a properties window.

In the 'Sync settings' area uncheck the 'Create folder hierarchy on device'.  With the box unchecked, click on the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the properties window.
Click on the 'OK' button in the properties window and then click on the 'OK' button in the 'Options' window.

Next select your .mp3 or .wma songs to sync to the Mix Stick 2.0 (you will not be able to use Itunes songs because they are encoded with Digital Rights and cannot be copied to other devices) and click on 'Start Sync'.

When the files are finished loading into the player, close Windows Media Player and follow the 'Safely Remove Hardware' procedure as shown below.

Safely Removing Your Player from the Computer
